Ever since I moved to Orange Street, Aliant has failed to send me a paper bill.  Which in my mind, no big deal... I'll just pay money every pay.. and hopefully that should cover the bill.  (Basically I went by what the bill was in one month, and made sure it was paid). 

LMFAO... Well, I must have lost track of payments...

So.. I contact Aliant to see what's going on with my paper statement... and I find out I have a $200 credit on my bill!

YAY ME!!  So that means I can put the money that I would normally put on the phone bill, onto other bills for the next two months.

Interesting News....

Same Sex marriage is safe again (at least for now) in Canada. Yesterday bill C-38 was up for vote in the House of Commons, and it seems that 175 voted FOR Same Sex marriage, while 123 voted against same sex marriage.

For any of you who don't know Bill C-38 is a bill that supports the rights for gays and lesbians to marry within Canada. It gives them the same rights as heterosexual couples.

I don't think that Mr. Harper gets it. Majority of politicians have spoken (even some in your own party), agree that Same Sex marriage/relationships are acceptable in the eyes of Canadian citizens. Get the hell over it Mr. Harper!!

To me, this is one big step in Gay rights in Canada. To me, that's a really great thing. I would be pretty upset if Greg and Chris had to "postpone" their wedding, because our Government is a bunch of (pardon the lack of better expression) Indian Givers.

Too bad other "free world" governments wouldn't open their eyes, and be leaders in the rights of their citizens. Straight, or gay! *cough* *cough* USA *cough cough*

Ok... it's officially time to hit Panic Mode!!

I leave for my trip to Arizona on Friday. I leave the airport at 6:45 am my time. Which is going to absolutely be retarded to me! Well, not really, considering that's about the time I go to bed 1/2 the time when I'm up talking with Teenah on the phone! :)

I just can't believe I'm going to be there this week. It feels so surreal. I leave the Saint John airport as I mentioned, then I have a stop in Montreal, Chicago, then Phoenix. I've been to all those airports before except Phoenix. I was kinda hoping to land in Denver Colorado on the way there, cause I would have loved to see the mountains as we're landing down on the tarmac there. But oh well... I can handle direct from O'Hare to Sky Harbor! (Harbour if you're Canadian!) :P

I guess Friday night, Teenah and I are going to go for something to maybe eat, and for a few drinks. I think it will be a good easy way for us to meet up. Am I excited? Hell yeah!! We decided that instead of meeting at a busy airport, or at the hotel, that we would make it a "real" date! We're going to meet at a resturant, and take some time to get to know each other face-to-face. *SQUEEEE*!!!!

As I mentioned before too, I got a resort through work. I'm just waiting for my confirmation to come via fax to work. And then I need to print it out a few other things like various directions. From the airport to the hotel, to the resort, to the resturant. (Wherever the hell we decide to pick!?!?)

I'm bringing my laptop, so it will give me something to do along the way, at any stop overs. I think I'll also bring my USB Game Controller, and install a few Tomb Raider games. In case these airports want to charge ubergil (money) to use their services.

The resort I'm going to does have internet services, and I'm sure that I'll take some pictures, and all that stuff. I'll post them as I go onto my photobucket, and maybe link them here.

As well.. I'll keep in touch with the Squig... so she doesn't worry about her Sherpa too much! :P

Anyhow.. I've got 2 1/2 hours left of work, and I may as well finish up these reports that I need to do. Ooooh.. It's break time! Time to go!

Well I submitted a request for a resort stay in Phoenix Arizona on the first week of August, and I know that due to my workplace, and the nature of the business in which I work, that these resorts are sometimes hard to come by.  I sent an e-mail this past week just to see if there was any type of response to my resort request, as some of my "vacation" plans were hinging on where I was staying.  I had so many questions to ask...

Do I have to book a hotel, then cancel several nights? Am I going to have to pay uber money for the last few days because of the NASCAR weekend?  Will I have to check out and check back in to these places?  What about if I want to go to Sedona, or Flagstaff, or Tombstone, Montezuma's Castle? blah blah blah.. So many things I can do, but alot was hinging on whether I had accomodations elsewhere.

WELL.. I got an e-mail today.  They had advised me I have a 2 bedroom suite at "Legacy Golf Resort".

The thing I'm liking, is that it's a kick ass looking resort, and alot of the reviews are nothing short of really great.  

I have to book a regular hotel stay the first night that I'm in Phoenix, and probably that will be at some place close to Goodyear.  (Which is near where Teenah lives).  But.. for shits and giggles, I thought it would be fun as sin, to go onto their official website for Legacy Golf Resort, only to find that this property would cost me aproximately $2000 USD to stay at that resort for 7 nights.  I almost heard my heart stop beating for a second, as I gasped for breath thinking.. HOLY SHIT!! I GET THAT FOR FREE!!  I guess this property only offers 1 bedroom condo or a studio condo normally.  For some reason they're giving me the "bigger... BETTER!!" TWO BEDROOM CONDO!!  (enter sarcasm here).  

Now I don't know about you.. but unless I plan on meeting a ton of people and having a kick ass party... I think a 2 bedroom condo is going to be pretty much useless.  -cringes-  Ok that's a blatent lie.. I'm sure I'll find something interesting to do at that condo for 7 days! :P

Anyhow... I'm more excited about my vacation now, than I was before.  I'm almost down to the 7 day mark, which means... I'm hardly going to get any sleep for the next week!

Hmm... well, where to start.. what to say... how to say it.

I guess I'll have to start by saying.. I'm going to be in Arizona in TWO weeks!! I can hardly sleep at night, I'm excited, and happy, and giddy, and nervous, and I just can't wait for the 3 Nov to be here. Normally I get really excited about Halloween, as it's one of my fave non-important holidays of the year. But, I couldn't really care a less about Halloween.

The biggest thing for me, is that I'm looking foward to the sun, and the lack of rain. The hot temperatures, and seeing someone I've really grown to care about. Whether things work out in the way one would hope, to me, it's a chance that I feel I need to take.

Life is way too short to live saying.. "What if?" I will never life a life of "What if's!" I want to make sure that if there is something I TRULY want to do, that I'll find a way to do it, regardless.

I'm sure I'm going to be more excited, and sleeping even less, as the days get closer. I'd post more, but I'll leave that more as a private post! :P

It's interesting how 1 person's post can make us think about the things in our lives. But I'm going to jump on the bandwagon, because I think the "I miss" list, can be very empowering.

I miss my grandmother the most out of anyone I've ever known in my life.
I miss the fun I used to have with Andrew when I'd go stay and visit him on my days off.
I miss alot of my friends from Australia, who have impacted my life in large ways.
I miss being as spontaneous as I used to be, when I'd just get up and do anything I wanted to.
I miss Teenah's voice right now, and I just want to hear her laugh.
I miss the late night chats with Jess, when she'd call me at 1 am, and ask me to come over to hang out.
I miss some of the responsibilities I had when I worked with the cadet program.
I miss being in Australia, and the new sights of the day, and the new adventures it would bring.
I miss my friend Dana, and when things were simpler.
I miss the random times that Nicole and I used to hang out. (Wasn't alot, but it was always quality)
I miss the late night runs when I was able to go 7-10 km in a safer end of town.
I miss having any sort of relationship with my family, who doesn't even try to communicate when I make an effort.
I miss the innocence I once had about life.
I miss the late night runs to Tim Hortons to sit around for hours talking to someone I haven't seen in a while, only to gab until the sun came up.
I miss my parents old dog, and my Shar-pei, both no long around anymore.
I miss the enjoyment of having my own dog.
I miss having my own vehicle, even though I realize it's much more affordable to be without one.

Other than that.. I really don't miss too much. I'm much more of a thankful person. But that list could go on for a long time! :)

Ok... I'm OFFICIALLY nervous.  32 days before I go to Arizona.  

Been talking to my friend Nic alot lately, which is good, and we've had some really fun conversations in general.  We're both addicted to the NEW Pink CD.  I have to say that I've listened to the whole CD several times, but this is the song that REALLY stuck out to me, and the one that I can say that I've played the most.  I just really like the sound of this song.  Definately will be on my playlist for a while, if I don't overplay the song. 

Anyhow, it's almost 8 am and I'm sitting at work exhausted.  I just want to sleep. I'm SOOO going to take a nap later today when I get home today.  I'm definately putting all my hours in for the next month and a half, because I'm going on vacation to see Teenah.  Which I'm UBER EXCITED ABOUT!  I'm doing a count down, and I'm sitting at 42 sleeps right now.  WOW.... the time is just flying by.  I need to get my slaggy ass to the gym tomorrow.

I decided to have a few drinks last night, and I wasn't into going to the gym after work today, cause when I got home last night, I ended up gabbing with Teenah for about an hour.  Which of course was great.  I could listen to her all day!  She's definately got the most sexy voice.  And.. DAMN YOU PAUL!!.. He stormed into my room, grabbed the phone from my hands, and started talking to her.  ROFL!! 

Well I also have laundry to finish when I get home, I need to fold a bunch, and put it away.  Fun fun!  Anyhow.. may as well get back to work.  I'm doing what I can to not fall asleep.  Anyhow.. here are the lyrics to my fave song for the moment!
